Machine Knit Classes

Are you looking to learn how to use a domestic knitting machine? Maybe you have some existing skills you'd like to develop? Perhaps you're working on a knitwear project and need some technical assistance? 

MHRstudio machine knit classes are aimed at students, post graduates or anyone interested in expanding their machine knit knowledge to make some incredible knitwear! All levels of knitters are welcomed into the studio. The classes are taught in SW London using a Brother KH950i domestic knit machine.

Minnie has worked as the knitwear technician at Kingston School of Art for the past 2+ years. She has extensive experience teaching machine knit to a wide variety of abilities. If you need advanced technical assistance with knitwear pattern calculations or just want to learn the basics, MHRstudio is happy to accommodate. All yarns and materials will be provided and you will take home a selection of beautiful knit swatches!

Classes are taught 1:1 so the curriculum is built around your interests and needs. You can choose from a variety of techniques to learn such as stripes, lace, weaving in, fringing, intarsia and the ribber attachment to name a few. If you'd like help shaping a particular garment such as socks or a neckline, you will need some prior machine knit skills. You are welcome to bring a friend for free, to share the class fee, however you will be sharing a machine. 

Classes are £40 an hour with a 10% student discount available.
